Big Weekend for NorCal Sale Graduates

PLEASANTON, Calif. (June 27, 2015) – Four graduates of the Northern California Yearling Sale, two of them sons of stallion Tannersmyman, won races on the  California circuit in the last two days.

My Friend Emma won the seventh race, a maiden special weight, at Oak Tree at Pleasanton on Saturday. My Friend Emma is a 3-year-old by Tannersmyman, out of the Artax mare Ma Ka Bet, was bred by Jim Eaton, is owned by Rosa Comacho and Gerardo Robles and trained by Guillermo Preciado. He ran the six furlongs in 1:09.47 and won by a neck at odds of 7-5 in the field of 10. My Friend Emma was a $1,000 purchase at the 2013 Northern California Yearling Sale.

Lil Miss Awesome won the fourth race Saturday at Oak Tree at Pleasanton, a maiden claimer. Lil Miss Awesome is a 2-year-old filly by Awesome Gambler, out of the Classic Secret mare Missed The Cut, was bred by Terry Lovingier, is owned by Velocity Racing Stables and Charlie Zsebik and is trained by Vod Farris. The $1,000 Northern California Yearling Sale purchase from last year ran the 4 ½ furlongs in :53.06 and won by two lengths at odds of 8-1.

Tannersmymuscle won the second race at Santa Anita Friday, a $58,000 optional claimer. Tannasmymuscle is by Tannersmyman, out of the Top Account mare Get the Money, was bred by Jim Eaton, is owned by Kings River Ranch and trained by J. Kruljac. The $10,000 Northern California Yearling Sale purchase ran the 6 ½ furlongs in 1:15.84 and won by one length at odds of 6-1.

Uncle Enroy won the fifth race at Oak Tree at Pleasanton on Saturday, a $12,500 claimer. Uncle Enroy is by Old Topper, out of the Cahill Road mare Unbridled Mango, was bred by Eric Brandjes, LouAnn Brandjes and Neale Jensen, is owned by Christian Cornett and trained by Tim McCanna. He ran the mile and 70 yards in 1:42.06 and won by 5 1/2 lengths at odds of 5-2. An RNA, Uncle Enroy has earnings of more than $68,000.
