PLEASANTON, Calif. (Aug. 8, 2017) — Breeders have a wide assortment of stallions to choose from in California, and that translates to similar choices at the California Thoroughbred Breeders Association Northern California yearling and horses of racing age sale. More than 60 stallions, most of them standing in the state, will be featured via their offspring in the 2017 catalog.

Most of the 150 horses are California-bred yearlings, with a few horses of racing age also offered. The sale will be conducted Tuesday, Aug. 15, beginning at noon at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton.

A $500 travel allowance is  being offered to any trainer from out of state, or Southern California, who attends and makes a minimum purchase of $2,500.
