NorCal Sale Top 10 Earners

PLEASANTON, Calif. (Aug. 15, 2011) – The Northern California Yearling and Horses of Racing Age Sale, to be held Tuesday at the Alameda County Fairgrounds, has produced 10 graduates since 2004 with earnings of at least $200,000 each.

Bai and Bai, a $3,200 purchase at the 2004 sale, is the leading earner with $724,983 and nine stakes victories.

Sierra Sunset, a $40,000 purchase at the 2005 sale and winner of the Grade II Rebel Stakes, is next with $459,696 in purse money.

More Angels, a $10,000 purchase at the 2004 sale, is a multiple stakes winner of $397,658.

Autism Awareness, bought for only $1,000 in 2006, produced a tidy return on investment with $356,222 in earnings and a pair of graded victories.

Leesider, who went for $50,000 in 2005, had earnings of $277,881 boosted by a win in the Snow Chief Stakes.

Live Sundays, purchased for $5,000 in 2007, earned $241,592.

Jack Hes Tops, a $10,000 seller in the 2005 sale, has earnings of $229,854.

The stakes-placed Inspiration Within, purchased for $11,000 in 2005, has earnings of $221,809.

Mamita Chula, sold for $4,000 in 2003, has earnings of $211,847.

Quite a Dude, bought for $5,200 in 2005, has earnings of $201,355.
