Omar, Canducharlie in Phoenix Gold Cup

PHOENIX, Ariz. (Feb. 9, 2016) – Multiple stakes winner Omar and fellow California-bred Canducharlie are entered in Saturday’s $75,000 Phoenix Gold Cup Handicap at Turf Paradise.

Omar is by Bertrando, out of the Beau Genius mare Perfect Doll, was bred by Omar Aldabbagh, is owned by Randy Exelby or Rick Running Rabbit or TG Racing and is trained by Robertino Diodoro. He has 13 wins in 34 starts, earnings of $206,443 and is coming off a third in the Jan. 23 Hank Mills Sr. Handicap. He was third in this race last year

Canducharlie is by Cindago, out of the Bertrando mare Nandu, was bred by Lee & Susan Searing, is owned by Ernie Turner and trained by Dan Morgan. He has four wins in 18 starts, earnings of $69,717 and is coming off a Jan. 27 allowance win.
