SHAKOPEE, Minn. (Sept. 15, 2018) – California-bred Patriots Rule rallied wide to win Friday’s $50,000 John Bullit Stakes at Canterbury Park.
Patriots Rule is by Tribal Rule, out of the Seattle Bound mare Candy Factory, was bred by Dahlberg Farms, is owned by Charles Garvey and trained by Robertino Diodoro.
He has 11 wins in 38 starts, earnings of $573,173 and was coming off a fourth in the Aug. 25 Brooks Fields. He was fourth in this race last year.
Patriots Rule ran the 1 1/16 miles in 1:43.88 and won by two lengths at odds of 5-2 in the field of eight.
