SHAKOPEE, Minn. (July 30, 2016) – Pensador, a Minnesota-bred son of California stallion Einstein, won Saturday’s $85,000 Minnesota Derby for 3-year-old colts and geldings at Canterbury Park.
Pensador, out of the Ghostzapper mare Levia Vita, ran the mile and 70 yards in 1:42.95 and won by 1 ¼ lengths at odds of 6-1.
He has three wins in eight starts with earnings of $110,680.
