Rare Sunset at Canterbury

SHAKOPEE, Minn. (Aug. 1, 2012) – Rare Sunset is the lone California-bred entered in Saturday’s $100,000 Lady Canterbury Stakes for fillies and mares at Canterbury Park.

Rare Sunset is by Anziyan, out of the In Excess mare Rare Royalty, was bred by Nick Cafarchia, is owned by Canadian Sunshine Stable and trained by Miguel Silva.

She has 12 wins in 40 starts, earnings of $184,917 and is coming off a win in the July 3 Minnesota HBPA Mile Stakes. She was fourth in this race last year.
