SANTA ROSA, Calif. (Aug. 15, 2015) – Favored California-bred Richard’s Boy rallied three wide then held on gamely to win Saturday’s $62,975 Jess Jackson Owners Handicap at Santa Rosa.
Richard’s Boy is by Idiot Proof, out of the Cee’s Tizzy mare Marissa’s Joy, was bred by Harold and Pamela Tillema, is owned by Rockingham Ranch and trained by Peter Miller.
He has five wins in eight starts, earnings of $242,240 and was coming off a fourth in the Aug. 2 Real Good Deal Stakes.
He ran the five furlongs in :56.51 and won by a neck.
