OZONE PARK, N.Y. (Nov. 27, 2014) – Salutos Amigos, a Kentucky-bred son of new California stallion Salute the Sarge, swung seven-wide on the turn and went on to win Thursday’s $300,000 Grade III Fall Highweight Handicap at Aqueduct.
Salutos Amigos won by 1 ¾ lengths and ran the six furlongs in 1:10.78 as the 2-1 favorite. He is out of the Lahuk mare Sarasota.
Salutos Amigos has six wins in 24 starts and earnings of $627,406 and was coming off a seventh in the Nov. 1 Breeders’ Cup Sprint.
