Sharkzilla Could be the Real Thing

AUBURN, Wash. (June 1, 2017) – Stakes winner Sharkzilla and fellow California-bred Sure Sweet are entered in Sunday’s $50,000 Coca Cola Stakes for 3-year-old colts and geldings at Emerald Downs.

Sharkzilla is by Distorted Reality, out of the Moscow Ballet mare Blue Ice Shark, was bred by Roger Downes, is owned by John Parker and trained by Candi Tollett. He has two wins in seven starts, earnings of $70,134 and is coming off a win in the May 14 Auburn Stakes.

Sure Sweet is by Elusive Warning, out of the Slew of Angels mare Candy Gal, was bred by Madera Thoroughbreds, is owned by Donna Hjort and Johen Moresco and is trained by Hjort. He has two wins in five starts, earnings of $18,475 and is coming off a third in the May 14 Auburn Stakes.
