Sierra Sunset Gets First Winner

DEL MAR, Calif. (Aug. 14, 2015) – California stallion Sierra Sunset was represented by his first winner when Carlos Dangerous won the fourth race Friday at Del Mar, a maiden special weight for 2-year-old California-breds.

Carlos Dangerous was bred by owners Philip Lebherz and Richard Meister and is trained by Jeff Bonde. He ran the six furlongs in 1:11.93 and won by a neck as the 2-1 favorite in the field of eight.

Sierra Sunset, a Grade II winner by Bertrando out of the Pirate’s Bounty mare Toot Sweet, stands at Paradise Road Ranch.
