Smart Bid to Stand at Milky Way

TEMECULA, Calif. (Sept. 17, 2015) – Millionaire Smart Bid, a multiple graded winning son of sire of sires Smart Strike, has been relocated to stand the 2016 breeding season at Milky Way Farm for a fee of $3,500.

Smart Bid, the property of George Strawbridge Jr.’s Augustin Stables, is out of the graded stakes-winning Danzig mare Recording. He won the Grade II Mervin H. Muniz Jr. Memorial Handicap, the Grade III Fair Grounds Handicap and earned $1,008,309. Smart Bid also was runner-up in the Grade I Gulfstream Park Turf Handicap and Woodford Reserve Turf Classic.

Smart Bid won races on dirt, synthetic and turf, and at distances from seven furlongs to 1 ½ miles.
