Song From Above Visits Wine Country

SANTA ROSA, Calif. (Aug. 10, 2017) – Stakes winner Song From Above is one of five California-breds among the entries in Sunday’s $50,000 Wine Country Debutante for 2-year-old fillies at the Sonoma County Fair.

Little Doe is by Kodiak Cowboy, out of the Richly Blended mare Baby Doe, was bred by owners Dr. and Mrs. William Gray and trained by Felix Rondan. She has one win in two starts, earnings of $27,040 and is coming off a July 8 maiden win.

Peppered Jo is by Peppered Cat, out of the Flashy Bull mare Evie Joe, was bred by owners Moger & Alan Eriksen and is trained by Ed Moger, Jr. She won her lone start July 4 and has earnings of $8,400.

Shylock Eddie is by Square Eddie, out of the Game Plan mare Willapa, was bred by Donna Jensen, is owned by Eric Jensen and trained by Steve Howard. She won her lone start July 23 with earnings of $10,175.

Unbeaten Song From Above is by Lucky Pulpit, out of the Unbridled’s Song mare Ermine’s Song, was bred by owners Mr. and Mrs. Larry Williams and is trained by Steve Specht. She won both starts, is coming off a win in the July 1 Juan Gonzalez Memorial with earnings of $61,980.

Blue Temptress is by Sapphire Cat, out of the Dehere mare Bathsheba, was bred by John Antonelli, is owned by Mary Bright or Chris Gounalakis and is trained by Wendell McDaniel. She is a maiden making her second start with earnings of $4,056.
