Southern Speed Wins Makybe Diva

FLEMINGTON, Australia (Sept. 9, 2012) – Southern Speed, an Australian-bred daughter of California stallion Southern Image, won Saturday’s $321,188 Group II Makybe Diva Stakes at Flemington.

Southern Speed has seven wins in 22 starts and earnings of $2,791,459. She ran the 1,600 meters in 1:37.84 on a good turf course and won by a nose.
