ARCADIA, Calif. (May 22, 2015) – With the scratch of Spirit Rules, San Onofre is the lone California-bred expected in Monday’s $100,000 Los Angeles Stakes at Santa Anita.
San Onofre is by Surf Cat, out of the Native Regent mare Marrakech Gold, was bred by Bruce Headley, is owned by Matson Racing and trained by Karen Headley. He has four wins in seven starts, earnings of $235,040 and is coming off a second in the Apr. 11 Kona Gold.
