Sprouts Leads CTBA Stakes Entries

DEL MAR, Calif. (July 15, 2013) – Cinderella Stakes winner Sprouts is one of three daughters of Square Eddie entered in Friday’s $100,000 CTBA Stakes for California-bred 2-year-old fillies eligible to the Golden State Series at Del Mar.

Sprouts is by Square Eddie, out of the Yankee Victor mare Ann Summers Gold, was bred by J. Paul Reddam, is owned by Reddam Racing and trained by Edward Freeman. She has two wins in three starts, earnings of $92,240 and is coming off a win in the June 15 Cinderella Stakes.

Pay the Debt is by Awesome Gambler, out of the Skip Trial mare Securitized Debt, was bred by Terry Lovingier, is owned by Pat Abrams, Keith Moore and Gary Sherlock and is trained by Sherlock. She has one win in two starts, earnings of $31,450 and is coming off a sixth in the June 15 Cinderella Stakes.

Evening News is by Swiss Yodeler, out of the Falstaff mare Evening Walk, was bred by owner Harris Farms and is trained by Sean McCarthy. She won her lone start June 6 and has earnings of $18,000.

Eddies Curl is by Square Eddie, out of the In Excess mare Girl in the Curl, was bred by Vessels Stallion Farm, is owned by Reddam Racing and Vessels Stallion Farm and is trained by Edward Freeman. She is a maiden making her second start with earnings of $3,600.

Time for Angie is by Time to Get Even, out of the Gold Case mare Amorous Angie, was bred by Terry Lovingier, is owned by Michael Byrnes, Patsy London, Kretz Racing and Lovingier and is trained by Walther Solis. She has one win in two starts, earnings of $52,560 and is coming off a third in the June 15 Cinderella.

Harlington’s Rose is by Harlington, out of the Orientate mare A Rose for You, was bred by Y-Lo Racing, is owned by Thomas Halasz, Ryan Johnson, Paul Newhart, Paul Miller et al and is trained by Steve Knapp. She is coming off a maiden win in her third start and has earnings of $42,640.

Say’s Who is by Yes It’s True, out of the Grand Slam mare Grandiosity, was bred by John Antonelli, is owned by Doubledown Stables and trained by Peter Miller. She is a maiden making her second start with earnings of $250.

Smoove It is by Square Eddie, out of the Distorted Humor mare Smoove, was bred by J. Paul Reddam, is owned by Raddam Racing and trained by Doug O’Neill. She broke her maiden June 29 in her second start with earnings of $37,440.
