Stoney Fleece Kicks off Del Mar

DEL MAR, Calif. (July 16, 2012) – Stoney Fleece is the lone California-bred entered in Wednesday’s second division of the $100,000 Oceanside Stakes for 3-year-olds on the Opening Day card at Del Mar.

Stoney Fleece is by Decarchy, out of the Deputed Testamony mare Gold Fleece, was bred by Joseph Alvarez III, is owned by Gary and Cecil Barber and trained by John Sadler.

He has five wins in 13 starts, earnings of $310,860 and is coming off a second in the June 9 Silky Sullivan.
