Sunday Rules Returns for Spring Fever

ARCADIA, Calif. (Feb. 16, 2017) – Stakes winners Sunday Rules and Kiss at Midnight return from length layoffs in Sunday’s $100,000 Spring Fever Handicap for Golden State Series eligible fillies and mares at Santa Anita.

Cuddle Alert is by Bedford Falls, out of the Gilded Time mare Tee Dee, was bred by Carol Lingenfelter, is owned by Saldana or Urbina and is trained by Melissa Saldana. She has five wins in 20 starts, earnings of $169,000 and is coming off a fourth in the Jan. 28 Sunshine Millions Filly & Mare Turf Sprint.

Smoove It is by Square Eddie, out of the Distorted Humor mare Smoove, was bred by owner Reddam Racing and is trained by Doug O’Neill. He has five wins in 27 starts, earnings of $371,265 and is coming off a second in the Jan. 28 Sunshine Millions Filly & Mare Turf Sprint.

Late ‘n Left is by Lucky Pulpit, out of the Grand Slam mare Royal Grand Slam, was bred by Mr. & Mrs. Larry Williams, is owned by Zolotas, Romo-Zolotas or Hamilton and is trained by Anthony Saavedra. She has five wins in 12 starts, earnings of $117,905 and is coming off a Feb. 2 claiming win.

Kiss at Midnight is by Decarchy, out of the Distinctive Cat mare Mink Kiss, was bred by Steven Greco, is owned by Marasa, Messineo or Robershaw, et al, and is trained by Richard Baltas. She has four wins in 16 starts, earnings of $314,113 and is making her first start since a sixth in a June 12 optional claimer.

Sunday Rules is by Tribal Rule, out of the General Meeting mare Sunday Dress, was bred by owner Nick Alexander and is trained by Phil D’Amato. She has eight wins in 11 starts, earnings of $541,840 and is making her first start since a fourth in the July 4 Spring Fever.
