According to a report in the Daily Racing Form, Taylor Made Farm in Nicholasville, Ky., has purchased Steve Coburn’s minority share in 2014 Horse of the Year California Chrome.
The DRF reports that California Chrome, who is currently stabled at Arlington Park, will ship to Kentucky later this week to recuperate at Taylor Made. The 4-year-old colt was diagnosed with a bruised cannon bone last weekend. The injury will require 90 days rest.
Trainer Art Sherman told the DRF that there is a possibility that California Chrome could race again in 2016.
