LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 11, 2012) – A colt out of the California-bred mare Tizso, a half-brother to Haskell Stakes winner Paynter, sold for $1 million in Monday’s first session of the Keeneland Yearling Sale.
The Kentucky-bred colt, by Street Cry, was purchased by Charles and Maribeth Sandford.
Tizso is a full sister to Cal-bred two-time Breeders’ Cup Classic winner Tiznow, by Cee’s Tizzy and out of Cee’s Song. In addition to Paynter, she has produced graded winner Tiz West, stakes winner Tizakitty and stakes-placed Tizalovelylady.
Tizso is also a full sibling to stakes winners Budroyale, Tizdubai and Tizbud.
