TOC Updates Breeders’ Cup Procedures

From TOC

DEL MAR, Calif. (Oct. 12, 2017) — We have had several inquiries from our members about the availability of tickets and parking for the Breeders’ Cup at Del Mar. In an effort to provide you with the most current information, we obtained the following from Breeders’ Cup, which we hope will be helpful in planning for the event days.

There will be NO walkup tickets sales at Del Mar on Breeders’ Cup Days, Nov. 3-4 nor can you drive to Del Mar without first obtaining a parking pass prior to the event. However, owners who are participating in the undercard races on Friday and Saturday are advised to contact Sandy King (858-792-4230) in the Del Mar Racing Department to inquire about seating and parking.  For all others, the CHRB license will not provide admittance to the racetrack for either Friday or Saturday. You must have pre-purchased a seat or have a horse participating.

Due to great demand, on-site parking at the racetrack is extremely limited and already sold out for both days. Only ticket holders with official pre-paid parking credentials may park at Del Mar Racetrack on those two days. Individuals with regular meet parking credentials will not be allowed to drive onto the grounds on event days.

For Breeders’ Cup ticket holders without pre-paid parking credentials, Del Mar is offering a complimentary parking and shuttle service from three Park-and-Ride locations in the local area to and from the racetrack on Friday, Nov. 3 and Saturday, Nov. 4. Shuttle service will be available from the following locations: Del Mar Horse Park, Mira Costa College in Cardiff, and Kilroy Realty Parking Garage in San Diego. Complimentary Park-and-Ride parking passes must be reserved online prior to the day of the event and are available on a first come, first served basis, so ticket holders are encouraged to reserve their complimentary parking passes online now at: www.breederscup.com/transportation.

All are welcome and encouraged to come out during the week for morning workouts and for racing on Wednesday and Thursday.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact TOC Executive Director Mary Forney (626) 826-3782 or mforney@toconline.com.
