Top Kisser Wins Governor’s Cup

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (July 19, 2014) — Top Kisser took over at the head of the stretch and held on to win Saturday’s $75,560 Governor’s Cup Handicap for fillies and mares at Sacramento.

Top Kisser is by Old Topper, out of the Cherokee Run mare Cherokee Kiss, was bred by owner Tommy Town Thoroughbreds and is trained by Jerry Hollendorfer.

She has six wins in 12 starts, earnings of $322,900 and was coming off a third in the Jan. 28 Oak Tree Distaff.

Top Kisser ran the 1 1/16 miles in 1:43.43 and won by one-half length at odds of 2-1.
