Touched by Autism in El Camino Real

ALBANY, Calif. (Feb. 10, 2016) – Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Touched by Autism is the lone California-bred entered in Saturday’s $200,000 Grade III El Camino Real Derby for 3-year-olds at Golden Gate.

Touched by Autism is by Sierra Sunset, out of the Beau Genius mare Beau’s Gem, was bred by George and Mary Clare Schmitt, is owned by Johnny Toboada and trained by Marcia Stortz.

The $2,700 Northern California Yearling Sale purchase has one win in five starts, earnings of $57,936 and is coming off a Jan. 7 maiden win.
