Tribal Tribute Wins Derby

SANTA ROSA, Calif. (Aug. 4, 2012) – Tribal Tribute withstood a steward’s inquiry to win Saturday’s $61,750 Robert Dupret Derby for 3-year-olds at Santa Rosa.

Tribal Tribute is by Tribal Rule, out of the Eastern Echo mare Clarify, was bred by K & J Farm, is owned by Ken Heidt and trained by Tim McCanna.

He has three wins in six starts, earnings of $66,582 and was coming off a June 28 starter’s allowance win. He ran the 1 1/16 miles on turf in 1:45.04 and won by three-quarters of a length at odds of 9-2.
