Unusual Suspect Tries Drake Cup

MELBOURNE, Australia (Oct. 23, 2012) – California-bred millionaire Unusual Suspect is entered in Saturday’s $250,000 Group II Drake International Cup at Moonee Valley.

Unusual Suspect is by Unusual Heat, out of the Crested Wave mare Penpont, was bred by David Abrams, is owned by Lord, Rose, Baltimore Racing Syndicate, Oakley et al and is trained by Michael Kent.

He has nine wins in 67 starts, earnings of $1,265,011 and is coming off a 15th in an Oct. 14 handicap. He’s winless in seven starts this year.
