ARCADIA, Calif. (Apr. 23, 2015) – Stakes winner Uzziel and fellow California-bred Smoove It are entered in Sunday’s $100,000 Grade III Wilshire Stakes for fillies and mares at Santa Anita.
Uzziel is by Harlington, out of the Lord At War mare Pretti Woman, was bred by owners James and Tammy McKenney and is trained by J. Keith Desormeaux. She has four wins in 14 starts, earnings of $239,238 and is coming off a second in the Apr. 10 Santa Lucia Stakes.
Smoove It is by Square Eddie, out of the Distorted Humor mare Smoove, was bred by J. Paul Reddam, is owned by Reddam Racing and is trained by Doug O’Neill. She has four wins in 17 starts, earnings of $248,980 and has won three of her last four starts.
