CYPRESS, Calif. (Sept. 6, 2014) – California-bred Uzziel held off the challenge of Ramona’s Wildcat to post a wire-to-wire win Saturday’s $75,000 Beverly J. Lewis Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at Los Alamitos.
Uzziel is by Harlington, out of the Lord at War mare Pretti Woman, was bred by owners James and Tammy McKenney and is trained by Mike Puype.
She has four wins in eight starts, earnings of $107,638 and was coming off a third in the Aug. 8 Daisycutter. She ran the 6 ½ furlongs in 1:14.70 and won by a length at odds of 4-1.
