ARCADIA, Calif. (Oct. 27, 2014) – Volkonsky is the lone California-bred entered in Friday’s $200,000 Grade II Las Vegas Marathon Stakes at Santa Anita.
Volkonsky is by Vronsky, out of the Perugino mare Palace Royale, was bred by Old English Rancho & Berumen, is owned by Twilight Racing & Mark Holden and is trained by Kristin Mulhall.
He has two wins in 19 starts, earnings of $167,160 and is coming off a fourth in an Oct. 11 optional claimer.
