HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. (Feb. 15, 2016) – Catholic Cowboy, a Florida-bred son of California stallion Heatseeker, won Monday’s $60,000 Old Hickory Starter’s Stakes at Gulfstream Park.
Catholic Cowboy, out of the Meadowlake mare Kombat Lake, ran the 1 1/16 miles I 1:43.22 and won by three-quarters of a length as the 6-5 favorite. He has five wins in 28 starts and earnings of $403,876.
