DEL MAR, Calif. (Aug. 18, 2016) – Grade II winner Cheekaboo and fellow California-bred Lynne’s Legacy are entered in Saturday’s $300,000 Grade I Del Mar Oaks for 3-year-old fillies.
Cheekaboo is by Unusual Heat, out of the Souvenir Copy mare Sandy Cheeks, was bred by Maedline Auerbach, Richard Rosenberg & Barry Abrams and is trained by Peter Eurton. She has three wins in nine starts, earnings of $296,096 and is coming off a second in the July 17 Sandy Blue.
Lynne’s Legacy is by Unusual Heat, out of the Steinlen mare Top of Our Game, was bred by Harris Farms, is owned by DP Racing and trained by James Cassidy. She has two wins in nine starts, earnings of $117,442 and is coming off a consecutive wins.
