You’re Late in Generous Portion

DEL MAR, Calif. (Aug. 24, 2016) – You’re Late, winner of last month’s California Thoroughbred Breeders Association Stakes, returns in Saturday’s $150,000 Generous Portion Stakes for Golden State Series eligible 2-year-old fillies at Del Mar.

Dixie Chick Rocks is by Dixie Chatter, out of the Rock Hard Ten mare Incredible Ten, was bred by owners John or Allegra Ernst and is trained by Dan Hendricks. She has one win in two starts, earnings of $38,145 and is coming off an Aug. 13 maiden win.

You’re Late is by Lucky Pulpit, out of the Smart Strike mare Coastal Strike, was bred by owners Mr. and Mrs. Larry Williams and is trained by Jeff Bonde. She has two wins in three starts, earnings of $97,320 and is coming off a win in the July 29 CTBA Stakes.

Miss Sunset is by Into Mischief, out of the Trippi mare Tuscan Sunset, was bred by Premier Thoroughbreds, is owned by Klein & Lebherz and trained by Jeff Bonde. She won her lone start July 30 with earnings of $37,800.

I’ll Be Around is by Bushwacker, out of the Tribal Rule mare Tribal Lady, was bred by Terry Lovingier, is owned by Bernhardt or Lovingier and is trained by Gary Sherlock. She has one win in three starts, earnings of $48,520 and is coming off a fifth in the July 29 CTBA Stakes.

How About Zero is by Square Eddie, out of the In Excess mare Too Much Excess, was bred by owner Reddam Racing and is trained by Doug O’Neill. She is making her debut.

Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Rocketann is by Sierra Sunset, out of the Indian Charlie mare Ann’s Intuition, was bred by Premier Thoroughbreds, is owned by Jack Tone Ranch and trained by Marcia Stortz. The $2,500 purchase at the Northern California Yearling Sale is a maiden making her third start with earnings of $10,400.
