DEL MAR, Calif. (Aug. 26, 2016) – Unbeaten multiple stakes winner Enola Gray and fellow California-bred Nine Point Nine are entered in Sunday’s $100,000 Grade III Torrey Pines Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at Del Mar.
Enola Gray is by Grazen, out of the More Than Ready mare Unsung Heroine, was bred by owner Nick Alexander and is trained by Phil D’Amato. She has won all three races, $229,100 and is coming off a wins in the Melair and Fleet Treat.
Nine Point Nine is by Tribal Rule, out of the Cahill Road mare Cielo Dulce, was bred by Stormy Hull and Ginger Samples, is owned by David and Holly Wilson and trained by Vladimir Cerin. She has four wins in 15 starts, earnings of $150,300 and is coming off a fourth in an Aug. 4 optional claimer.
