POMONA, Calif. (Jan. 9, 2018) — In support of industry efforts to provide recovery and relief to the victims of the catastrophic San Luis Rey Downs Fire, 2018 stallion seasons, equine artwork and/or racing memorabilia will be auctioned at the 2018 Barretts January Mixed Sale with 100% of the sales proceeds to be donated to the California Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Foundation (CTHF), a non-profit charitable foundation dedicated to improving the quality of life for backstretch workers at California tracks & training centers.
Stallion seasons being offered – Boat Trip (Special T Thoroughbreds), Can The Man (Spendthirft Farm, Kentucky), Capital Account (BG Thoroughbreds), Daddy Nose Best (BG Thoroughbreds), Danzing Candy (Rancho San Miguel), Desert Code (Harris Farms), Metaboss (Harris Farms), Richard’s Kid (Rancho San Miguel), Shaman Ghost (Tommy Town Thoroughbreds), Sierra Sunset (Daehling Ranch), Smiling Tiger (Harris Farms), Stanford (Tommy Town Thoroughbreds), Stay Thirsty (Lovacres Ranch), Tom’s Tribute (Rancho San Miguel), Ultimate Eagle (Special T Thoroughbreds), Vronsky (Old English Rancho).
The sale will be held Wednesday, Jan. 17, at 11 a.m. at the Finish Line Sports Grill in Pomona.
