ALBANY, Calif. (May 31, 2019) — California stallion Coach Bob was represented by his first winner on Friday when Smokin Hot Bobbie won the third race at Golden Gate Fields, a maiden special weight for 2-year-old fillies.
Smokin Hot Bobbie is out of the Surf Cat mare Wahine, was bred by Mr. and Mrs. Reina Gonzalez-Nelson & Jeff Kitchen, is owned by Alana Curtis, Reina Gonzalez, Matthew Gutierrez, Jeff Kitchen, Patricia Lopez and Jorge Viramontes and is trained by Reina Gonzalez.
Smokin Hot Bobbie ran the five furlongs in 1:00.59 and won by 1 ¾ lengths at odds of 13-1 in the field of six.
