Big Fish Biting at Zuma Beach

ARCADIA, Calif. (Oct. 1, 2020) – Northern California Yearling Sales graduate and stakes winner Big Fish and fellow California-breds Ingest and Dennis Celery are entered in Sunday’s $100,000 Zuma Beach Stakes for 2-year-olds at Santa Anita.

Big Fish is by Mr. Big, out of the into Mischief mare Perched, was bred by George Krikorian, is owned by Legacy Ranch and trained by David Hofmans. The $45,000 purchase at the Northern California Yearling Sale has two wins in four starts, earnings of $109,000 and is coming off a win in the Sept. 7 Del Mar Juvenile Turf Stakes.

Ingest is by Square Eddie, out of the Rock Hard Ten mare Octogarian, was bred by owner Reddam Racing and trained by Doug O’Neill. He has one win in five starts, earnings of $44,400 and is coming off a Sept. 26 maiden win.

CTBA January Sale graduate Dennis Celery is by Point of Entry, out of the Formal Dinner mare Informal Lady, was bred by Equine Formula 1, LLC/Eric Yohan Knipe, is owned by GNO Racing Club and is trained by Doug O’Neill. He has one win in four starts, earnings of $31,700 and is coming off a Sept. 4 maiden win.
