DEL MAR, Calif. (Nov. 24, 2020) – California-bred California Kook, who was already entered in Thursday’s $100,000 Red Carpet Handicap for fillies and mares, is also entered in Saturday’s $300,000 Grade I Hollywood Derby against the boys at Del Mar.
California Kook is by Boisterous, out of the Comic Strip mare Kukaluka, was bred by owners Barber or Wachtel Stable and is trained by Peter Miller.
She has two wins in 10 starts, earnings of $194,762 and is coming off a fifth in the Oct. 10 Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup.
