ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (July 23, 2022) – Groovy Huey is the lone California-bred entered in Saturday’s $50,000 Duke City Sprint Stakes for 3-year-olds at Albuquerque.
Groovy Huey is by Dads Caps, out of the Orientate mare Floatthrutheair, was bred by Richard Barton Enterprises, is owned by Alvarez Racing Stables and trained by Sergio Alvarez.
He has one win in four starts, earnings of $29,394 and is making his first start since a 10th in the Nov. 28 Cecil B. DeMille.
