SARATOGA SPRING, N.Y. (Aug. 13, 2023) – Ship Cadet is the lone California-bred entered in Saturday’s $150,000 Skidmore Stakes for 2-year-olds at Saratoga.
Ship Cadet is by Midshipman, out of the Harbor the Gold mare Bella Mia, was bred by Mr. & Mrs. William Griffin, is owned by Paradise Farms, David Staudacher, Kevin Haynes and John Huber and is trained by Michael Maker.
He has one win in three starts, earnings of $99,500 and is coming off a second in the July 30 Tyro Stakes.
