ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (Oct. 7, 2023) – A trio of California-breds is entered in Saturday’s $75,000 Manzano Stakes for 2-year-olds at Albuquerque.
Lite Ranchin Kid is by Lemon Drop Kid, out of the Unbridled’s Song mare Lorelei’s Song, was bred by owner Regan Wright and is trained by Rafael Barraza. He has won both starts with earnings of $37,800.
Salsation is by Far From Over, out of the Munnings mare Music and Art, was bred by Cynthia White, is owned by Dan Northrup and trained by Luis Mendez. He has one win in three starts, earnings of $23,900 and is coming off a third in an Aug. 27 starter optional claimer.
Grease Missile is a filly by Clubhouse Ride, out of the Midnight Lute mare Midnighthush, was bred by Dino Bates and Josephine Bates, is owned by Jeremy Ramsland and trained by Bart Hone. She won her lone start Sept. 30 with earnings of $15,930.
