One in Vermillion Sibling Enters Borderplex

SUNLAND PARK, N.M. (Jan. 13, 2024) – Raspberry Wine, a half-sister to Grade I winner One in Vermillion, and fellow California-bred Only One America are entered in Friday’s $65,000 Borderplex Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at Sunland Park.

Raspberry Wine is by Cat Burglar, out of the Any Given Saturday mare Given Star, was bred by Richard Barton Enterprises and is owned by trainer Terri Rust and Rusty Wire Racing. The half-sister to Grade I winner One in Vermillion has one win in three starts, earnings of $28,050 and is coming off a Jan. 12 maiden win.

Only One America is by Marking, out of the Diabolical mare That’s the Idea, was bred by owners J. Kirk and Judy Robison and is trained by Todd Fincher. She has one win in six starts, earnings of $44,140 and is coming off a second in a Dec. 12 allowance.
