DEL MAR, Calif. (oct. 29, 2024) – California-bred stakes winners Stay and Scam and Sassy Nature are entered in Friday’s $200,000 Senator Ken maddy Stakes for fillies and mares at Del Mar.
Stay and Scam is by Square Eddie, out of the mare Puff Pastry, was bred by owner Reddam Racing and is trained by Doug O’Neill. She has six wins in 16 starts, earnings of $416,360 and is coming off a third in the Oct. 12 California Distaff.
Sassy Nature is by Straight Fire, out of the After Market mare Renee’s Queen, was bred by Straight Fire LLC, is owned by C T R Stables and trained by Luis Mendez. She has five wins in 16 starts, earnings of $337,790 and is coming off a sixth in the Oct. 12 California Distaff.
