Shocking Grey Ships to Washington

AUBURN, Wash. (June 19, 2025) – Stakes winner and CTBA January Sale topper Shocking Grey is one of four California-breds entered in Sunday’s $50,000 Hastings Stakes for fillies and mares at Emerald Downs.

Smiling Lady is by Smiling Tiger, out of the Pleasantly Perfect mare Banner Elk Lady, was bred by Premier Thoroughbreds, is owned by Sergio Salguero and trained by Isidro Tamayo. She has six wins in 22 starts, earnings of $177,327 and is coming off a third in a May 23 optional claimer.

Brookys Gal is by I’ll Have Another, out of the Giant’s Causeway mare Brooky’s Star, was bred by Jethorse, is owned by Frankly Speaking and trained by Isisdro Tamayo. She has 10 wins in 25 starts, earnings of $161,068 and is coming off a May 26 claiming win.

Shocking Grey is by Grazen, out of the Unbridled’s Song mare Seoul Unbridled, was bred by Donald Valpredo, is owned by Rockingham Ranch and trained by Justin Evans. She has three wins in 17 starts, earnings of $263,976 and is coming off a fourth in the May 24 Fran’s Valentine. She was sold for $170,000 at this year’s CTBA January Sale.

Attracted is by Enticed, out of the Tapit mare Love’s Illusion, was bred by P. Fountain of Youth III, is owned by Peter Redekop and trained by Blaine Wright. She has three wins in four starts, earnings of $52,250 and is coming off a win in a May 10 optional claimer.
