AUBURN, Wash. (Aug. 13, 2025) – Smiling Lady is the lone California-bred entered in Sunday’s $50,000 Emerald Distaff Stakes, presented by 1/st Bet for fillies and mares at Emerald Downs.
Smiling Lady is by Smiling Tiger, out of the Pleasantly Perfect mare Banner Elk Lady, was bred by Premier Thoroughbreds, is owned by Sergio Salguero and trained by Jorge Rosales.
She has six wins in 25 starts, earnings of $185,317 and is coming off a third in an Aug. 3 optional claimer.
