AUBURN, Washington (Aug. 17, 2025) – California-bred Chatty Leroybrown, the longest shot on the board, went wire to wire to win Sunday’s $50,000 Washington Oaks, presented by 1/st Bet, for 3-year-old fillies at Emerald Downs.
Chatty Leroybrown is by Big Bad Leroybrown, out of the Grazen mare Chatty Cathy, was bred by owner Hector Preciado and trained by Hilario Perez.
She has two wins in 14 starts, earnings of $47,020 and was coming off fifth in an Aug. 1 claimer.
She ran the 1 1/16 miles in 1:43.18 and won by three lengths at odds of 33-1.
