ARCADIA, Calif. (Dec. 30, 2025) – Nominations are due this Sunday, Jan. 4, for the five stakes races to be run on California Cup Day, Saturday, Jan. 17, at Santa Anita. The races are restricted to Golden State Series eligibles.
The Cal Cup stakes are:
$175,000 California Chrome Cal Cup Derby, 3 YO, 8 1/2 F
$175,000 Leigh Ann Howard Cal Cup Oaks, F, 3 YO, 8 F (T)
$125,000 Don Valpredo Cal Cup Sprint, 4 & UP, 6 F
$175,000 Unusual Heat Turf Classic presented by City National Bank, 4 & UP, 9 F (T)
$125,000 Sunshine Millions Filly & Mare Turf Sprint presented by John Deere, F/M, 4 & UP, 6 1/2 F (TH)
