ARCADIA, Calif. (Jan. 11, 2026) – Streaking Ocean Bear and fellow stakes winners Sammy Davis and Smoovin Saturday are entered Saturday in a contentious $175,000 California Chrome Cal Cup Derby for Golden State Series-eligible 3-year-olds at Santa Anita.

My Boy Stan is by Stanford, out of the Violence mare Take a Time Out, was bred by Robyn Kaiser, is owned by Daugherty Racing and Kaiser and trained by Nolan Ramsey. He has one win in two starts, earnings of $26,280 and is coming off a third in a Dec. 6 optional claimer at Gulfstream Park.

Stakes winner Sammy Davis is by Sir Prancealot, out of the More Than Ready mare Ready for Romance, was bred by Thomas Bachman, is owned by Legacy Ranch and trained by John Sadler. He has two wins in four starts, earnings of $142,250 and is coming off a second in the Oct. 31 Golden State Juvenile Stakes.

Start the Ride is by Upstart, out of the Tiznow mare Elusive Ride, was bred by owner Harris Farms and is trained by Dan Blacker. He is a maiden making her second start with earnings of $500.

Stakes winner Smoovin Saturday is by I’ll Have Another, out of the Square Eddie mare Smoove It, was bred by owner Reddam Racing and is trained by Michael McCarthy. He is unbeaten in two starts with earnings of $96,000.

Almost There is by Conquest Farenheit, out of the Heatseeker mare All Star Heat, was bred by owners Albert and Kathleen Mattivi and is trained by Ryan Hanson. He is a maiden making his fourth start with earnings of $32,200.
