PLEASANTON, Calif. (June 18, 2014) – Multiple graded stakes winner Summer Hit and fellow California-bred Cahill Chrome are entered in Saturday’s inaugural $100,000 Oak Tree Handicap at the Oak Tree at Pleasanton meet.
Summer Hit is by Bertrando, out of the Tough Knight mare Mia F Eighteen, was bred by Kenneth & Janice Heidt, is owned by John Carver and Jerry Hollendorfer and trained by Hollendorfer. He has 11 wins in 20 starts, earnings of $532,219 and is coming off a win in the May 26 All American Stakes.
Cahill Chrome is by Cahill Road, out of the Bold Badgett mare Takes Two to Mango, was bred by SLU and is owned by trainer Jose Bautista. He has four wins in 30 starts, earnings of $107,869 and is coming off a June 1 claiming win.
