ARCADIA, Calif. (Sept. 27, 2016) – California-bred stakes winners Richard’s Boy, Mrazek and Ambitious Brew are entered in the first division of Friday’s $100,000 Grade III Eddie D. Stakes at Santa Anita.
Richard’s Boy is by Idiot Proof, out of the Cee’s Tizzy mare Marissa’s Joy, was bred by Harold and Pamela Tillema, is owned by Rockingham Ranch and trained by Peter Miller. He has six wins in 14 starts, earnings of $348,060 and is coming off a second in the Aug. 12 Green Flash.
Mrazek is by Square Eddie, out of the Wild Rush mare Heckuva Rush, was bred by owner Reddam Racing and is trained by Doug O’Neill. He has three wins in 10 starts, earnings of $259,569 and is coming off a third in the Sept. 5 Pirate’s Bounty.
Ambitious Brew is by Tizbud, out of the Forest Wildcat mare Kathwen, was bred by owner Pamela Ziebarth and is trained by Martin Jones. He has six wins in 19 starts, earnings of $439,225 and is coming off a fourth in the Aug. 21 Del Mar Mile.
