Baja Sur Enters El Dorado Shooter Stakes

ALBANY, Calif. (Oct. 30, 2020) – Multiple stakes winner Baja Sur is among the entries in Sunday’s $75,000 El Dorado Shooter Stakes for California-bred or -sired at Golden Gate.

Bettor Trip Nick is by Boat Trip, out of the In Excess mare Bettor Knot, was bred by Running Horse Equine Trainer Center, is owned by Gary Oetman or Ray Pagano and is trained by Quinn Howey. He has four wins in eight starts, earnings of $150,180 and is making his first start since a third in the June 13 Alcatraz.

No Longer Silent is by Ministers Wild Cat, out of the Petionville mare Silent Stalk, was bred by owner Tommy Town Thoroughbreds and trained by Jonathan Wong. He has four wins in eight starts, earnings of $110,060 and is coming off a consecutive optional claiming wins.

Ultimate Bango is by Uh Oh Bango, out of the Cee’s Tizzy mare Ultimate Summer, was bred by Mitchell Dutko & Bob Abrams, is owned by William Branch, William Buster Jr. or Mark Cohen and is trained by Mark Glatt. He has four wins in 18 starts, earnings of $262,845 and is coming off a second in the Oct. 11 California Flag.

Square Deal is by Square Eddie, out of the Jump Start mare North Freeway, was bred by Thomas Bachman, is owned by Fairview LLC and is trained by Steve Specht. He has three wins in 11 starts, earnings of $110,830 and is coming off an Oct. 11 starter’s allowance win.

Baja Sur is a Washington-bred son of California stallion Smiling Tiger, out of the Supremo mare Premo Copy, was bred by John Roche, is owned by John & Janene Maryanski or Gerald Schneider and is trained by Blaine Wright.
