SANTA ROSA, Calif. (Aug. 2, 2018) – Golden Poppy Stakes winner Bella Luma and fellow California-bred Rebarules Again are entered in Saturday’s $50,000 Luther Burbank Handicap for fillies and mares at Santa Rosa.
Bella Luma is by Ministers Wild Cat, out of the Bold Badgett mare Bold Roberta, was bred by Thomas Bachman, is owned by Fairview or Linda Brown and is trained by Ed Moger Jr. She has four wins in 14 starts, earnings of $136,662 and is coming off an eighth in the June 24 Wilshire.
Rebarules Again is by Tribal Rule, out of the He’s Tops mare Reba Is Tops, was bred by owners Jarnig, Marshall & Schweiger and is trained by Tim McKenna. She has five wins in 24 starts, earnings of $169,609 and is coming off a June 7 optional claiming win.
